WHO WE ARE

Sometimes you need to think outside the box.

Our founder John Johnson has been uniting business leaders in Warren for years and generating funds for the needs of the community. But John wanted to engage the people more directly, bring them out of their houses to interact, involve local business and create a little fun while he was at it! The Warren Community Foundation was born in 2017 to be the events-focused arm of his successful Warren Center Line Chamber of Commerce.

After finding a team, and securing the approval of the city government, WCF got underway with the Run Warren 5K. A couple years later, WCF partnered with the Center Line Independence Festival to create Cruisin' 53, which was sponsored by General Motors. Our events have been sponsored by dozens of prominent businesses, both local and national, and have generated a lot of buzz in the short time we've been in existence.

And we're just getting started! With several original and unique events planned for our future expansion, the Warren Community Foundation plans to be a presence in our city for a long time to come. And most importantly, to give financial support to those working the hardest to lift up our friends and neighbors the help they need.

The Southeastern Michigan Chamber of Commerce (www.semchamber.org) serves all of Macomb County, offering membership to both or either of two sub-chambers. The Gratiot Avenue Chamber of Commerce (Eastpointe, Roseville, Mount Clemens, Clinton Twp, Chesterfield Twp, Lenox Twp, Richmond, New Haven) is also the organizing body of the North Gratiot Cruise in Chesterfield. The Warren Center Line Chamber of Commerce, which exclusively serves Warren, developed the Warren Community Foundation and it's events.
